Robert Pollard and his Soft Rock Renegades - Choreographed Man of War
I know this is Robert Pollard, but I actually haven't ever listened to this record before. It's been sitting, in its original plastic wrap with it's limit-one-per-customer sticker, in my collection for the past 4 years.

Bob Pollard was the singer for Guided by Voices. He was also a star basketball and baseball player many moons ago.
Forgot to answer the other part. He is clearly a big fan of the Who and the Beatles. The guys in Spoon are definitely big fans of Guided by Voices. He's incredibly prolific. It's hilarious how much music he puts out a year. Often it's just a bunch of minute long songs.
