NBA

Remember when this Pistons team was supposed to be headed for a record breaking season and some argued for making the Pistons starting five the Eastern Conference all-star starting five? They still have the best record in the NBA at 55-14. The next best in the East is Miami at 47-23. In the West, both the Spurs and Mavs are 54-16. The Suns are 47-22. It seems to me that 54-16 in the West is much more impressive than 55-14 in the East. The real benefit for the Pistons is that if they meet the Spurs or Mavs in the finals, then the West's rep will have been forced to play a series against the other. The Pistons are good, but there's no way that they are on a different level than the Spurs or Mavs.
