School is Schoolish right now

I'm busier than I'd like to be at this point in time. I had a meeting with a professor yesterday that started with him telling my group that we have a lot of work to do in the next three weeks. That's always good to hear. The work shouldn't be too bad.

I think Kelly is in town, but I haven't been able to get an answer from his phone. I'll try again tomorrow. There are so few people whom I really like in Madison that I'd hate to miss out on seeing a friend who makes an appearance here. Even if that friend didn't go to my wedding.

I really like Les Aus. Have I mentioned that before?

I'm ready for college football season. College basketball is done, out with a whimper, and I only care about the NBA if San Antonio is in the finals. It's a long break with no sports for me. The NFL draft is in a few weeks, but that's not really so exciting. Baseball is going on, but I think it's one of the dumber things that Americans care about. I can watch the college world series if Texas is in it, but other than that I think baseball is slightly less boring than hockey. I wonder if BC will win the men's hockey championship. I hear that Texas is almost done with its '07 recruiting class. They've got one of the top 2 quarterbacks in Texas and the top quarterback in Florida. They only have to wait 10 months until they officially have these kids. That's a long time. I'm just looking forward to the North Texas game and then The Ohio State University.

I think Steve Martin and Robin Williams are in a race to see who can have his career complete die first. My money is on Robin Williams. I think his career is pretty much dead anyway.

I saw Sons and Daughters the other day on ABC. They really try to pack a lot in to their 30 minutes. Maybe they could relax a little bit.
