Chris Owens

In my time in Austin I have had the opportunity to meet or interact with the occassional UT athlete. Some of them were nice(Chris Simms, D.D. Lewis, Marcus Tubbs) and some of them were really immature (Major Applewhite), but Chris Owens was by far the most pleasant guy I had to deal with. It's not a stretch to say that in my few years as a sandwich maker, he was my favorite customer, other than the cocktail waitress who bought me presents. He was an incredible basketball player at UT and set for great things when he got hurt in the middle of his senior season. He struggled to catch on in the NBA and now he's playing in Europe.
