Happy Bob Day

It may be Flag Day today, but more important than that is that it is Bob La Follette's birthday day. If he hadn't been dead for the past 83 years, he would be celebrating his 153rd birthday today. Happy day to you, sir.

Stupid Antibiotics

I appreciate all of the benefits that antibiotics have, but I think doctors tend to over prescribe them. I had to take Mrs. LaBlog to urgent care tonight because of a bad reaction to an, in my opinion, overly long antibiotic regimen. I was advised that if she doesn't improve I should take her to the emergency room. But hey, that tonsil infection is long gone.

the Maccabees - Colour It In

If you don't have Colour It In by the Maccabees, you really do need to buy it. This is particularly true if you like the Futureheads first album. Colour It In is nice post-punk with multi-part harmonies. It may be the best album that I've purchased this year and I got Our Ill Wills this year.
